Talk Cinema's Montreal Film Festival is ideal for folks who like an urban vacation, and like the added layer of the film festival as an organizing thread to the day. We begin each day over breakfast with our host to weigh our screening options ... the breakfast briefings are a great way to organize your day: see a movie right away then break for lunch or linger over coffee and see films after lunch or see films all day and all night. The breakfast briefings may also feature directors, producers and actors who come by to talk about their work. We exchange tips about happenings in the city: good bargains, good eats, and good exhibits.
Each day is both an exploration of film arts and the host city. Montreal is particularly attractive in late August. The light is great, the weather is great, and there’s a bit of Provence in the air. A great city for walkers, with neighborhoods to explore, and the three principal venues where the films are held are all within 10 minutes walk of our hotel. Montreal abounds in history and contemporary design all set against the magnificent backdrop of the St. Lawrence: world class city attractions include art galleries, museums, a botanic and science center. More than 300 feature films are offered.
The Talk Cinema Montreal package includes:
Five nights accommodations, carte blanche festival accreditation, opening night welcome reception and tickets to opening night, daily breakfast briefings with your travel host, and a celebratory group dinner at one of our favorite Montreal restaurants.
